President Shen Visits CIE in Changsha

MCC Limited President Shen Heting led a team of senior MCC executives to pay a fact-finding visit to the Changsha-based MCC subsidiary Changtian International Engineering Corporation (CIE) on December 22.
CIE s chairman Yi Shuguang led his management to report to the visiting president on the company s performances of the year and its progress in terms of technological innovation, management enhancement and industrial re-structuring endeavors.
At the end of the report, Huang Dan, vice president of MCC Limited, made a special note on CIE s worldwide business performances giving particular emphasis on how to explore the potentials in the environmental sector in China. She also outlined certain expectations for talent education and retention.
Shen put a high premium on CIE s efforts in developing new businesses in mining, concentration and environmental protection, while endeavoring to sustain its business growth.
The president praised CIE for its well-knit management strategies and the team of high-caliber engineering professionals. He hoped that CIE would update its understanding of the latest development in China s steel industry while formulating a practicable and feasible way to restructure its business profiles.
President Shen would wish to see CIE make real breakthrough in the following aspects: (i) continue to develop the overseas market while improving its technical equipment, talent strategy, project management rules and going-global initiatives; (ii)focus on the new sectors including environmental projects so as to create business synergy, and continue to explore the possibility of undertaking projects on BT and BOT basis; (iii)step up its efforts in brand building so as to create more opportunities; (iv) improve management skills and talent retention program; and (v) build a broader mindset to tap its technical and engineering potentials to keep growing.
