On Dec.12 in 2000, a meeting was ceremoniously held in Chengdu hall of
people's political consultative conference. It was organized by Sichuan
Provincial & Chengdu municipal party committees of China National
Construction Association to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the founding of
the party and honour the excellent party members & advanced groups.
Wang Hengfeng, chairman of Sichuan provincial party committee of China National
Construction Association, presented the meeting and made an important speech. In
his speech, chairman Wang gave a systematical account of 55-year history of the
provincial party committee. Under the leadership of Chinese Communist Party,
China National Construction Association has gone through over half a century
struggling-history. It has overcomed all kinds of hardships and contributed
itself to the national modernized construction, national development and country
reunion, striving for socialist construction with Chinese character. It has
become indivisible part of the multi-party cooperation & consultation under
the leadership of the communist party. The meeting was presided by Zhou Zhaoyi,
chairman of Chengdu municipal party committee.
50 excellent party members, who have made great contributions to the society at
various working posts, and 20 advanced groups were commended in the meeting.
President Liu was elected as one of the excellent members.
