On Feb 17, China's Investment Association was founded in Beijing. It is a guild in the field of China's investment. It consists of the original China's Investment Association and China's Capital Asserts Investment and Construction, including 7 special committees such as investment committee, private business committee, large enterprises committee and foreign businessmen committee etc.
Zeng Peiyan, director of national project committee, the governing department of the (new) association, Chen Jinghua and Cheng Siwei, the honorary chairmen, Chen Guangjian, chairman of the (new) association and vice director of national project committee, made important speeches successively. President Liu, together with leaders of Baosteel Corporation and SINOPEC etc., was elected as executive managers of the association. At the meantime, Mr. Liu was also pointed as vice head of the steering committee of the association and vice chairman of China's private business investment committee. It is said that Mr. Liu is the only enterpriser from west China private business, who holds a post in this association.
New association will bridge the government and investors, implement government's policies on industry and investment, provide macroscopical economic information and offer consultation & service to investors, enterprises, trades, regional developing strategy, project evaluation & assets recompose etc. It will actively promote the economic cooperation between China's and international investment, helping to make investment decision and management a scientific, standard & legal process.
Guo Dongfeng, vice president of Tongwei Group, attended the important meeting and talked with leaders of the association (new) about problems concerned with private enterprises.
