At 15:00 of Sep.26, 2003, the Opening Ceremony of the 50th Anniversary of National Association of Industry and Commerce & Achievements Exhibition of Guangcai Project, which was sponsored by National Association of Industry and Commerce, China Guangcai Project Promoting Committee, State Council's Poverty Relief Office, and Unite Nations Development Programme, was held solemnly in Beijing Folk Culture Palace.
Deputy Minister of the Central Unit Front Ministry, vice president and secretary general of China Guangcai Project Committee, Hu Deping (Right first of photo 1), Unite Nations Development Programme Enterprise Bureau's director, Ms. Shrakon (Left third of Photo1), senior official of United Nations Secretary General office, Mr. Dolby (Right second of photo 1) and others inspected Tongwei's exhibition booth after the opening ceremony. Vice president of Tongwei Group, Hu Rongzhu presented guests evolution of Tongwei Group, especially the great attentions and practical actions to social commonweal industry. In 1992,Tongwei contributed to the Tongwei-Hope Project Scholarship Fund, and also Tongwei Aquiculture Education Scholarship Fund; in 1998, after the suffering of flooding in Hubei & Hunan, Tongwei contributed materials equivalent to 3 million RMB at one time to support the rebuilding after flood; In 1999, Tongwei contributed 1 million RMB for the construction of the schoolhouse of the Aquiculture Institution of Sichuan University of Agriculture, etc. Till now Tongwei Group has contributed over 20 million RMB money and materials. Besides, Tongwei have taken initiative to participate in the Development of Western Regions, orienting to the Old, Young, Marginal, and Barren Regions as well as the middle western regions, concentrating on the project investment, developing resources, establishing enterprise, cultivating talents and promoting trade.
