On Jan. 30, 2005, outstanding figures gathered in the brilliantly illuminated hall of CPPCC, where the commending ceremony for 2004 Top Ten Talents of Chinese Private Enterprises was held solemnly. Zhang Zheng, who was the well-known television presenter of CCTV, was chairing the ceremony. Liu Hanyuan, Board Director of Tongwei Co., Ltd. who ranked Top Ten Talents of Chinese Private Enterprises first ascended the medals podium. In the past 20 years, Mr. Liu Hanyuan has concentrated on his core business and played an active role in rapid growth of Chinese aquaculture and feed sectors.
Simultaneously listed on the Top Ten Talents of Chinese Private Enterprises with him were such private entrepreneurs as Jiangsu Far East Group Board Director Jiang Xipei, Xi an Seastar Group Board Chairman Rong Hai, Shenzhen Neptunus Group Board Chairman Zhang Simin, Beijing Dianji Co., Ltd. Wang Zhidong, etc.
The Top Ten Series of China Talents winners were as follows: Shanghai University president Qian Weichang, HKSAR (Hongkong Special Administration Region) Legislative Council president Rita Fan, Citic Media Group Board Director Li Bolun, FAW VW general manager Qin Huangming, Vice President of Chinese Youth Science Association Xu Rongxiang, Suning Group Board Director Zhang Guiping, Auditor-General of the National Audit Office Li Jinhua who led the 80, 000 auditors to trigger a nationwide audit storm , as well as Xiao Zhuoji, who was the professor of Peking University and proposed the Draft Resolution of Protecting Private Property into the Amendments to the Constitution.
The ceremony concluded that all of the prize winners was characterized by their having been successful in greater contribution, good virtue, speech, innovation and excellence.
