On Dec. 24, 2004, Commending Conference for Builders of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics was solemnly held in Beijing, at which Mr. Liu Hanyuan, Board Director of Tongwei Co., Ltd. was present at the conference for his winning the honorary title. In the same day, Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan, Head of the United Front Work Department Liu Yandong, Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) Huang Mengfu cordially met with the winners for the honorary titles and posed for a picture with all the Excellent Builders.
During the conference, staffs of the program Dialogue from CCTV made an interview with the winners, and Board Director of Tongwei Liu Hanyuan was present in the whole process and deliver a speech. Talking about Tongwei in its development process synchronously with the growth of China s aquaculture, he listed series of detailed data to testify this. He recalled that, dating back to 1954, the total aquatic output in the country was only over 2 million tons, while in 1983 when we were starting an undertaking, the total aquatic output in China was more than 4 million tons. Last year, it soared and reached over 43 million tons, and this year it will climb to more than 45 million tons.
Mr. Liu said, China has actually become the largest global aquatic breeding country, the average aquatic consumption has increased from 4.78 kilos to over 40 kilos today, surpassing the world average. The annual output for varied aquatic feed products made in Tongwei is accounting for 8-10 percent of the Chinese total, Tongwei has become the largest aquatic feed manufacturer in the country. Therefore, we are very gratified at Tongwei in its development synchronously with the fast growth of China s aquaculture, for its greater contribution to national aquaculture, in it doing what it can to develop the national economy and increase the output and income in agriculture. We are even gratified for having been recognized and praised by all circles of life.

When talking about how for all circles of life to treat the massive private entrepreneurs, Mr. Liu pointed out that, those from all walks of life who have made contribution to the prosperity of the country, including the massive private entrepreneurs, should be united. They should be encouraged for their pioneering work, and legitimate rights should be protected. Among them, the excellent ones should all be commended. Only in this way can we make an entirely new and harmonious situation, that from each according to his ability, to each his own.
