In the spotlight of major media including Chengdu Business Daily, Huaxi Metropolis News, Tianfu Morning Post, Chengdu Evening News, Sichuan Daily, Sichuan TV Station, Sichuan News Online, Chengdu Daily and Chengdu TV Station, etc was a grand signing ceremony for an agreement on a 9,000 ton/year polysilicon project design held at Jiaozi Conference Center of Chengdu. The agreement was signed between Tongwei Group, Juxing Group and Chengda Engineering Corp in the witness by government offcials of Leshan City, Wutongqiao District and Jianwei County, in conjunction with many experts, traders and enginnering designers. Thus, a strategic alliance was made with an international engineering company on general contracting focusing on project design when Phase 1 project of the 10,000 ton/year polysilicon complex was advancing steadily ever since Tongwei and Juxing signed the investment agreement for the complex with Leshan government this May. Also, this indicated that Phase 2 the 9,000ton/year polisilicon project, of which the ground was to be broken in July 2008 according to the original plan, would officially enter into the substantial design and construction stage. Thus, Tongwei and Juxing s pace of engineering construction towards establishment of a world-class polisilicon production base and a world-class clean energy company has been accelerated at all fronts; compared with the original plan, the schedule has been advanced by over half a year.
At the signing ceremony, Tongwei, Juxing and Chengda Engineering Corp revealed that they would go all-out hand in hand to build a polisilicon production base of national, Asian and even world class as well as a world-class clean energy copmany in Leshan City, Sichuan through full utilization of their respective advantages and great collaboration. The companies share the common aspiration to fuel the rapid growth of China s PV industry, set a new record of China s polysilicon and new energy development, and play an important role in the world solar energy industry together, thus contributing to the existence and development of humanity and benefiting our posterity.
