Recently, China Oilfield Services Limited 2011 Annual Conference was held successfully.
The conference was aimed at reviewing and summing up the company s work in 2010 and in the 11th five-year period; studying and discussing the major work in the 12th five-year plan and deploying the work in 2011; motivating and leading all the managements and employees of the company to take a pragmatic attitude, uphold the innovative spirit, focus on the strategy, optimize management and work steadily in an effort to be strong and specialized and create a new situation of corporate development.
Chairman Liu Jian was present, delivered an important speech, spoke highly of the company s achievements in the past five years, and raised requirements.
At the conference, CEO and President Li Yong gave a work report entitled Focusing on Strategy, Working Pragmatically and Innovatively, and Endeavoring to Create New Situation of Corporate Development. The report reviewed the company s work in 2010 and in the 11th five-year period. The detailed data and vivid cases fully showed that the company had earnestly implemented the decisions of the board of directors, had actively coped with the complex domestic and international situation and fierce competition in oilfield services, and had made encouraging achievements in such aspects as production operation, QHSE management, market development, internationalization, integrated services, technical equipment development, cost reduction and benefit increase, financial management, HR management, system and mechanism innovation, total risk management and excellence campaign.
At last, Li stressed that COSL worked steadily and overcame all odds in 2010 to fulfill the brilliant 11th five-year plan, and would launch a more magnificent and opportunity-filled 12th five-year plan by actively coping with challenges in 2011. This is a span of five years with a high starting point and high objective, when we would step up learning and become more confident. Let s harbor ideals, work steadily and keep innovating in a bid to present a well-equipped, advanced, scientific and well-trained COSL to the world at the end of the 12th five-year period.
Also, the signing ceremony for the letters of anti-corruption work responsibility and economic responsibility system, as well as the award ceremony for advanced collectives and outstanding staff were presented during the conference.
Some 100 people, including managements of the headquarters organ and affiliated units, national model workers, advanced collectives and outstanding staff representatives were present.
