The Yunnan Provincial Government held a Friendship Award Ceremony for foreign experts at Green Lake Hotel on the 4th of November, 2009. The award ceremony praised ten foreign experts who have made special contributions to the social and economic development of Yunnan. Among them was Ms. Tabibzadegan, working in Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE). The vice president of YUFE, Prof. Wang Libing, together with foreign teacher representatives presented the ceremony.
The vice governor Ms. Li Jiang on behalf of the Yunnan provincial government conferred the awards on all of the winners, and expressed sincere thanks to all of the foreign experts working in Yunnan province and international friends contributing to the development of the Yunnan economy. After the ceremony, the vice governor, Ms. Li, vice president of YUFE , Prof. Wang, and the winner, Ms. Tabibzadegan, enjoyed a short roundtable discussion and picture session. At that time, vice Governor Ms. Li acknowledged the achievements made by foreign teachers in YUFE, and extended her thanks to Ms. Tabibzadegan again for her outstanding contribution and her hopes that Ms. Tabibzadegan can continue to play a role as a key member of the international community.
There are more than 600 foreign experts working in Yunnan Province who are dedicated to establishing deeper ties with locals and the overall development of the province. Furthermore, the Friendship Award is the highest honor available for foreign experts in Yunnan.
