On November 5th, a delegation from the University of Missouri led by Dr. Handy Williamson, Vice President of the University of Missouri, visited YUFE and had a meeting that was both casual and practical with Yin Hong, Vice President of YUFE.
During the meeting, Professor Yin Hong said that Yunnan, as the province with the most minority groups in China, possessed distinct advantages. He suggested the two universities could start with small cooperation projects in specific fields so as to extend cooperation on existing experience. Dr. Williamson expressed his hope that the two universities could establish a long term cooperative relationship and identify the best cooperative fields through negotiation.
