On December 10th 2009, a Vietnam delegation led by the president of Hanoi University visited Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. President Prof. Wang Rong and vice president Prof. Wang Libin met with the visiting delegation respectively.
During the meeting, Prof. Wang introduced the most recent international cooperation and exchange developments of YUFE. He also pointed out the existing close links between YUFE and Universities in Vietnam. Prof Wang noted that Vietnam students were the primary part of the YUFE overseas student body, which accounts for the willingness to cooperate with Hanoi University in the field of student and teacher exchange programs.
The President appreciated the hospitality he received mentioning that Hanoi University had already established solid links with over 60 universities abroad numbering over 1000 overseas students. He noted that Hanoi University is willing to promote joint education programs and language training programs.
After the meeting, the two Presidents signed a mutual cooperative agreement. According to the new agreement, the two universities will carry out double degree programs. Program students may obtain double degrees if they meet the graduation criteria. In addition, langue training program will be another cooperative potentials in the near future.
