Dr. Kevin Chi-Kuang Chung, Vice-chair of Department of Orthopaedic Surgery of University of Michigan, who is the well-known expert in hand surgery, visited the Affiliated Yongchuan Hospital of CQMU from May 18 to May 27. Chen Li, President of the hospital warmly welcome the guest on behalf of the university and showed him around the wards of the Orthopaedics Department.
Dr. Kevin Chi-Kuang Chung also gave a lecture entitled Modern Concepts in Hand Joints Plastic Surgery and Advances in Treatment of Congenital Hand Deformities on the High-Level Forum on Hand Plastic Surgery which was co-organized by the Affiliated Yongchuan Hospital of CQMU, Medical Talent Exchange Center and Interplast Team, UAS. More than 100 doctors from various hospitals in Western China attended the lecture.
Yongchuan Hospital became affiliated to CQMU in May, 2009. This visit, as the first one after the affiliation, signified a good beginning for its international cooperation and exchanges.
