Vice President of Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada Visited CQMU

On April 23, 2009, Dr. Bruce Arai, Vice President of Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada, Dr. Erin Tjam, Director of Scientific Research Office in St. Mary???s General Hospital and Dr. Jamie LeClai, associate professor from Wilfrid Laurier University visited our university for a second time after their first visit in Oct. 2008.

During their visit, the guests had an in-depth discussion with our staff about the cooperation in the open-up of TCM courses and the research and treatment of senile diseases. A ceremony was also held, at which Dr. Erin Tjam was appointed as the visiting professor of our Second Affiliated Hospital. Yang Hong, Director of Foreign Affairs Office hosted the ceremony and Zhang Ling, Deputy Director of the Second Affiliated Hospital awarded the certificate of appointment.

Present at the discussion and ceremony were also Prof. Chen Qingwei, Director of the Geriatrics Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital, Mr. Liao Zhong, senior official from Canadian Consulate in Chongqing and Ms. Zhu Ningning, Director of Office of Wilfrid Laurier University in China.
