On April 26, 2010, Frank Boyland, Director of Asia of Scottish Development International (SDI), Mr. Long Baijin, General Manager of SDI, and Martyn Link of Scottish Enterprise visited CQMU. Yang Hong, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of CQMU welcomed the guests on behalf of the university and had a meeting with them.
Prof. Weng Yaguang and Prof. Chen Tingmei, Vice-directors of College of Laboratory Medicine, and Prof. Yang Maosheng, Vice-director of Pharmacy College also attended the meeting. They introduced to the guests our research in new drug development and treatment of diabetes, depression, pneumonia, cancer, and our cooperation with University of Chicago, Cardiff University and Harvard University, etc.
The Scottish guests introduced SDI???s achievements in new technology and medical equipment development, treatment of diabetes, stem cell research and medical business development. Both sides discussed about the possible fields of cooperation and looked forward to the concrete cooperation in the future.
SDI is Scotland's largest economic development organization and is committed to strengthening the cooperation in trade and scientific research between relevant institutions in Scotland and the rest of the world.
