Achievements in S&T Essays Writing in 2009

Recently, according to the statistics released by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, the scientific and technical essay writing of CQMU enjoyed rapid development, with substantial improvement in both quantity and quality.

In 2009, the number of essays included in SCI hit 229, an increase of 38% (or 166 pieces) than the previous year (while the national average is 25%), up 12 places to 88^th among all the domestic colleges and universities. The number of essays included in CSTPCD hit 2,570, an increase of 10% than the precious year (the national average is 10.4%), up 4 places to 24^th among all the domestic universities and institutions and ranking 5^th in medical universities and institutions. All these witnessed the rapid development of our scientific and technical strengths and the quality-oriented improvement in essay writing.

In the same period, essays of the First Affiliated Hospital included in SCI numbered 72, ranking 42^nd. It was the first time the hospital entered the top 50 among the domestic medical institutions. The essays included in CSTPCD numbered 1,007, an increasing of 23% than the previous year 2008, up 10 places to the 9^th among the domestic medical institutions. What???s more, both the affiliated children???s hospital and the second affiliated hospital entered the top 100 in terms of essays included in CSTPCD. The listing of affiliated Children???s Hospital rose by 15 places to 75^th, with 404 included essays.
