TOTAL Guests visits GDUT

Themed as "Germany and China-Moving Ahead Together", the 2009 Sino-German cultural festival arrived in Guangzhou, the third leg in China. As a part of the festival, 9 GDUT students and one exchange student from the University of Bremen, Gunnar Wohletz, participated in a football match held at the Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education on 9 November.
All together 8 teams from Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, South China University of Technology and other universities in Guangzhou join in the game, each includes at lest one German and one female player. GDUT team finishes third at last. After the match, all coaches and players are invited to dinner at German Beer Garden Avenue by the German Consulate General in Guangzhou.
It is learned that the Germany-themed carnival in Guangdong Province is the third stop in China following the ones held in Jiangsu and Chongqing. Centering on "the sustainable development of urbanization," the carnival consists of cultural performances, cultural display, seminars and forums focusing on Sino-German economies, urban development and construction, energy, environmental protection, science, education and sports, etc.
