Finnish Scientist and Entrepreneurs Visit GDUT

University Vice President Prof. Chen Xin met visiting Finish guests Dr. Yang Yunfeng, Chief Research Scientist of VTT (VTT Technical Research Center of Finland) and Mr. Jari Liimatainen, Managing Director of Finnish Metso company, and his two colleagues on the afternoon of April 25. VP Prof. Chen Xin expressed his warm welcome to the visiting guests and then gave a brief introduction to the University??s latest developments in education and research. Mr. Jari Liimatainen then delivered a slide presentation of Metso and unveiled the company??s intent to set up joint research centers in South China.
The two sides exchanged detailed views later on the feasibilities of carrying out cooperative relationships in forms of joint R&D and setting up a joint research center. The guests wrapped up their visit to the University by taking a tour around labs in the Faculty of Materials and Energy.
