Korean Professor's Visit Welcomed

University Vice President Chen Xin met the visiting Korean professor Dr. Lee Sukhan on April 3. On behalf of the University, the Vice President extended his warm welcome to Dr. Lee and gave a brief introduction to GDUT, with scientific research and international cooperation in particular.
A Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of Korean National Academy of Science and Technology, Dr. Lee is currently a Distinguished Professor of Information and Communication Engineering at the SungKyunKwan University (SKKU) in South Korea. During the meeting, the visiting professor began by giving a brief account of the development of SKKU and moved on to the latest development of his research in Robust. Views regarding staff /student exchanges and joint scientific research were also exchanged during the meeting.
Later in the same day, Dr. Lee took a tour around related laboratories and discussed the possibility of joint application for international scientific research programs. A lecture titled Robust Vision Based Manipulation for Home Service Robots was given by Dr. Lee in the Faculty of Automation before he left.
