University Presidents Host Japanese Famous Designer

University President Zhang Xiangwei and Vice President Chen Xin held a reception feast for the University's visiting Professor Mr. Shimizu on March 20. As a famous designer in Japan, Mr. Shimizu has long been a visiting Professor in the School of Art Design in GDUT.
During the meeting, President Zhang Xiangwei expressed his sincere gratitude to the visiting professor for the supports and help to GDUT; the President also spoke highly of the provoking lectures given by Mr. Shimizu in the School of Art Design. "Japan is a leading country in art designing, and its designing industry is worth learning. By inviting Mr. Shimizu to lecture periodically in our university, we can understand Japan's art designing in a better way", said Mr. President. The President also put forward his hope for the School of Art Design to keep on its hard work so as to build up the school's own features.
Mr. Shimizu said his each visit to GDUT was pleasant, leaving deep impressions on him. He gave his thanks to President Zhang and Vice President Chen Xin for taking bothers to meet him on a busy day. In addition, the guest marveled at the developments the University and the School had made in terms of scale, quality, teaching environment and facilities, etc. At last, Mr. Shimizu remarked that he would still visit GDUT for lecturing in the future, which was warmly welcomed by the two presidents.
