Professor Ing. Rik Hostyn together with Professor Pieter Fore from KATHO of West-Flander, Belgium, visited ZAFU in the past few days. Vice President Zhang Liqin met with the two guests, and relevant staff from School of Agriculture and Food Science, School of Information and Engineering and International Office took part in the reception work.
As a representative of our university, Vice President Zhang Liqin warmly welcomed KATHO of West-Flander Delegation. Both parties gave a brief introduction of their own universities and showed expectation in mutual cooperation on faculty visit and student exchange. It s agreed that student exchange programs would be started as soon as possible and Vice President Zhang, on behalf of ZAFU, signed cooperative memorandum with KATHO of West-Flander.
This visit coincided with the 10th anniversary celebration activities of relation establishment between Zhejiang and West-Flander, Belgium, and Vice President Zhang Liqin was invited to attend some related activities. During the visit, the two professors also visited our laboratories of School of Agriculture and Food Science, School of Forestry and Biotechnology and School of Information and Engineering.
KATHO of West-Flander, Belgium, is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary university covering Business Management, Nursing Science, Public Safety, Special Education, Applied Psychology, Social Work, Application Research of Computers, Agricultural Biotechnology, etc. And it is one of the largest universities in West-Flander with over 8,000 students at school at present.
