SHU delegation visits ZSTU

On March 8th, a delegation from Taiwan Shih Hsin University (SHU) began the visit to ZSTU. Mr. Qiu Songliang, ZSTU president, warmly welcomed the guests, including Dr. Jame C.Hsiung, SHU vice-president and Ms.Wei-Ling, Yi, secretary for SHU External Affairs. People concerned from ZSTU units, such as Art & DesignSchool, CultureCommunicationsSchool and the Division of International Exchange & Cooperation, were present.

President Qiu extended his warm welcome to the delegation and briefed the visiting guests on ZSTU s achievements in disciplines construction, scientific research, talent cultivation and international exchange & cooperation. Qiu expressed his sincere expectations on further cooperation with higher education institutions in Taiwan. Then, Dr. Hsiung provided information concerning SHU history, the advantageous professions and intercollegiate communications with higher education institutions of the Chinese mainland. Based on extensive and intensive discussions on such issues as intercollegiate communications and cultivation of interdisciplinary talents, ZSTU and SHU reached agreement in enhancing mutual communication and exploring forms and space for future cooperation and sustainable development. Both sides concurred that further negotiations will be arranged to establish collaborations for mutual practicable and sustainable development.

The delegation is scheduled to revisit ZSTU in May, when intercollegiate cooperation agreement will be signed and Exchange Students programs will be initiated.

During the visit, the delegation visited ZSTUSchool of Art & Design.
