Professor Huang Jinxiong, Director of Asian ACM-ICPC, Investigated ZSTU and Delivered Special-Topic Lecture

On the afternoon of May 12, Professor Huang Jinxiong, Director of Asian ACM-ICPC came to ZSTU, gave advice on relevant affairs and delivered a special-topic lecture.

Vice president Chen Jianyong met with Huang Jinxong, delivered his warm welcome to the visit and briefly introduced ZSTU. Chen said, college student computer program design competition is advocated by Zhejiang Province Education Department. ZSTU lays great emphasis on it and regards it as one essential link to promote education quality. Huang Jinxiong briefly introduced ACM competition, sang highly of the great support from ZSTU for the ACM computer program competition, and extended his gratitude to the leadership for their supports. The deputy director of Academic Affairs Division, director and his assistant from Instructional Division for Computer Technology, and the program design competition coach, etc, attended the meeting.

Huang Jinxiong carried on an on-the-spot investigation of the competition facility for the 35^th ACM-ICPC Asian Competition to be held this October and the preparation, for which he delivered his sincere praise. Besides, he visited the exhibition room for the university history, and exhibition hall for high density full imaging silk textile technology , viewed the video, news and pictures of Tongpu Cup 2010 ACM-ICPC National Invitational Competition.

At 18:30 Huang Jinxiong delivered a special-topic lecture on Design Your Life Program in report hall on the second floor of the administration building. He inspired the students to make the best of their life time to strive, make use of opportunities, and create beautiful future. Lastly, students from ZSTU raised many questions about life design to Professor Huang, and correspondingly, Professor Huang, with his own experience, exchanged understandings of time management, and illustrated successful life philosophy. The lecture is positively beneficial for students designing right life goals and planning their future.
