College of International Education Lectures on Network Technology Application

To enhance the research capacity of teachers and faculty, the College of International Education has started from this semester to regularly invite renowned experts to deliver Chinese education speeches. On the afternoon of May 29, Zhang Ni, a doctor in Applied Linguistics from Columbia University and the Chinese teaching department director with George Washington University, delivered a speech on Internet Applications in Foreign Language Teaching for the whole college.
Professor Zhang Ni, with reference to his rich experiences in Chinese teaching and the unique characteristics in Chinese learning, detailed on how to take full advantage of Internet technology to improve the quality of teaching, to enrich teaching contents, and to optimize learning materials in a comprehensive way. The audience learned how to make online learning materials and how to use relevant software as well as application of multi-media technology in Chinese teaching. The onsite atmosphere was lively with high interest among the audience, and discussions were also held to deepen understanding.
