CNU Overseas Students Donates for Earthquake Victims

Write: Prasoon [2011-05-20]
The devastating earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan province on May 12 has hit the heart of not only every Chinese but also many overseas students with CNU.
No call, no mobilization, but many overseas students have knocked at the door of Overseas Student Affairs Office asking to donate and to help after the earthquake; and many teachers teaching overseas students were asked to speak out the wishes of overseas students. Six students from Venice, Italy, donated 2,000 yuan, the four-year undergraduate class in trade contributed 442 yuan, and four students from Iraq made donations at the embassy. What is particularly moving is: the four Iraqi students even donated their blood to save the Chinese victims. They posted a letter calling upon actions from others: It is a disaster not only for the Chinese people but also for the whole Iraqi people and the people around the world. Although a few of people is very small force, but we still want to help the Chinese people, the Chinese government, and we are here to present our modest force and we are honored to donate our blood because through blood donation, the Chinese and Iraqi blood will be together.
