A China-Korea Composer Concert was started on April 21 at the music hall of the CNU Music College. The concert, as well as associated academic exchange activities, was the result of over a year s hard work jointly by the Music College as well as the renowned TACM in South Korea.
The music by four Chinese composers, including Zhang Dalong from the Music College, as well as three Korea composers, including Chen Guiying, was played at the concert. All the music played was recently created, and two parts of them were world premiere.
All the composers in the event were members in South Korea s TACM, a musician union originally established by three composers and now have 15 members, including composers from the Europe. TACM is now a globally famous music organization.
The Music College and the TACM were jointly holding the event to facilitate dialogue and exchange between the Chinese and Korean music circle and to promote contemporary Chinese music through introducing top musicians in Asia or even the whole world and contacting with musicians from other countries.
