Westchester University Group Shares Knowledge with CNU

A summer overseas learning group by the University Westchester, Pennsylvania, which included four professors and 12 students, visited CNU on May 14 and exchange views with students from foreign language department as well as the environment department at the international cultural building.
Prof. Charles Shorten from the Westchester University delivered a speech on Global Environmental Health: Dangers the 21st Century introducing a series of measures designed by the world's environmental health professionals in addressing various environmental challenges. The lecture coincided with the happening of Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan province, and his speech provoked discussion among CNU students. Students from the two countries also discussed freely about the lecture and various topics.
Westchester University is a 125-year-old university and now the second largest state university in Pennsylvania, from a normal university, with 12,882 students and subjects covering fine arts, science, technology, business and education. The university signed a cooperation agreement with CNU in 2007, and three CNU fine art students have been studied there.
