A Delegation from South Korea Mokwon University invited CNU from April 16 to 19, and the five-member delegation included Dr. Li Yaohan, the Mokwon University President, and Mr. Wu Zhengji, director of planning.
CNU President Liu Xincheng and Vice-President Gong Huili met the visiting South Korean delegation. The two sides have talked about student and academic exchanges in dance, history, Chinese language teaching, music, art and other areas, and the two sides also signed Appendix to Cooperation Agreement between Capital Normal University and the Mokwon University.
Mokwon University was established in 1954, the same as CNU. The two universities have carried frequent exchanges since 2005 and have organized 14 rounds of visits and exchanges at various levels. At present, 13 students in dance department of CNU are trained in South Korea in three batches, and six of them have obtained post-graduate admission. The 3+1 training model has been achieved, and an automatic post-graduate program arrangement was basically developed. Prof. Song Yinguo from Mokwon University is now a visiting scholar with CNU Music College.
Mokwon University has been named by the Korean Ministry of Education as the best local university for last five years, and the South Korean government provided 3.0 won (22 million yuan) financial aid annually to the university.
The visit has deepened the South Korean university leaders understanding of Chinese culture and renewed their understanding of the international operations of CNU, which will promote student exchange programs and the 3 +1 program further.
