2010 Summer School Seminar on French Art Songs Concludes

From August 24 to 27, the summer school seminar on French art song was held in the multifunctional hall of Liuyi Building on Chang an campus. The main speakers were Professor Alan Carat from Tokyo University of Arts and Professor Tian Dacheng in College of Music of SNNU. Cheng Bo, Liu Yang and Chen Hua were piano accompanists. The major attendants are the graduates and undergraduates from College of Music and other colleges, mounting to about 100 in total.

During the four-day seminar, the basic of French pronunciation was taught in the mornings and the public class for instructing singing of French art song was held in afternoon. Finally, on the afternoon of August 27, the closing ceremonial performance was staged in the multifunctional hall at Liuyi Building. Dean of College of Music Tian Dacheng, Secretary Qin Hanmin, Deputy Dean Cheng Pengmin, Liang Xuqi, Zhang Xiangxia, and Wang Yongjun all attended the ceremony, and expressed their thanks to Professor Alan Carat.
