To commemorate the 35th anniversary of China Youth Federation s visiting Japan, initiated by Hu Jintao, a 50-person delegation of Soka Gakkai International (SGI), being invited by China Youth Federation, came to visit Beijing, Xi an and Shanghai. On Aug. 27th, the delegation paid a special visit to Shaanxi Normal University (SNNU). The delegation received a warm welcome from President Fang Yu and Vice President Zhang Jianxiang. And a series of academic discussion and exchange has been held at the library on Chang an campus. Representatives from both sides had a brief review of the exchange programs between SNNU and Soka University. President Fang Yu delivered a speech to welcome the Japanese delegation. The head of the delegation presented a poem written by ikeda, daisaku as a gift to President Fang Yu. Later an academic forum was held, in which teachers and students from both sides had a friendly and enthusiastic discussion. The visiting of the youth delegation from SGI has deepened the cooperation and exchange between SGI, Soka University and SNNU, having laid a solid foundation for profound cooperation in the future.
