On Sep. 26 the founding ceremony for the China-Russia-Belorussia University Union was held in Beijing University of Technology. The founding ceremony for the union was attended by NPU Vice President Wang Wei and Tang Hong, director of the Office for International Cooperation. During the ceremony Vice President Wang Wei signed on behalf of NPU the Framework Agreement on China-Russia-Belorussia University Union.
The union aims at utilizing the high-quality educational resources putting up a cooperative platform and boosting the cooperation and exchange among the university union in the areas of scientific research, teacher exchange and student international education etc.
The union is made up of 20 universities, 12 of which are Chinese universities, and NPU is among them. Seven of the universities are Russian ones, and one is a Belorussian university.
NPU has established long-term cooperative relationships with numerous well-known Russian universities such as Moscow Institute of Aeronautics, Moscow Institute of Power, SamaraState University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Kazan State Technical University and St. Petersburg University of Marine Technology and so on.
NPU and Russian universities have launched a series of highly effective cooperation and exchange in the areas of scientific research, education, exchange of both teachers and students. This membership of the union provides NPU with a new platform of cooperation with Russia, broadens its cooperation channel and creates a new opportunity to further enhance the cooperation with Russia.
