On Sept. 24, a SCUT delegation led by QIU Xueqing, vice-president, visited Canadian Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, and held a meeting with Mr. Mohammed Ali Khan, vice-president in charge of international affairs. The two parties discussed the college student project based at SCUT's School of Continuing Education, and decided to extend the project to undergraduate education.
On Sept. 27, SCUT delegation arrived at University of Victoria located in Canadian west coast, and discussed issues of summer-holiday student projects with Mr. Saul Klein, director of the advanced training center of the School of Business. A preliminary agreement has been reached that the two universities would launch summer-holiday student cooperative projects in international business training and other fields the next year.
On Sept. 30, the delegation paid a visit to Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Poly U). The two parties discussed the joint education project of bachelors' and masters' degrees in tourism and hotel management. The project is likely to be jointly initiated next year by the School of Economics & Trade of SCUT and the School of Hotel & Tourism Management of Poly U.
