On December 30, Vice President Jiang Shuzhuo met with Nepali guests attending the Buddhism and Sino-Nepali Cultural Exchange International Symposium. The guests include MR. Tika Jung Thapa, President of Nepal Council of World Affairs, Ms. Prem Kumari Pant, President of Nepal China Society, Prof. Dr. Khadga Man Shrestha, Registrar of Lumbini Bauddha University, Prof. Shanker Thapa, Dean of Lumbini Bauddha University and Prof. Min Bahadur Shakya, Director of Nagarjuna Institute of Exact Methods.
Prof. Jiang extended his warm welcome to the Nepali guests. Mr. Thapa and other guests thanked Prof. Jiang for his reception and expressed that China and Nepal are close friends. They wish that the relationship between JNU and Nepal could be further extended and the two sides can cooperate in the field of Buddhism and history studies.
Prof. Jia haitao, Director of Chindia Studies Institute and Mr. Li Lijia, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office were present at the meeting.
