SYSU Cross Strait Tri-Regional Summer Camp, Lingnan Cultural Travel , Concludes Successfully
Lingnan Cultural Travel , an academic summer camp sponsored by the School of Sociology and Anthropology was held from Septem6-10, 2010. Twenty students from Guangzhou, Taiwan, and Hong Kong gathered at SYSU to exchange ideas and explore Lingnan culture.
Based on culture identity, the summer camp includes series of activities such as academic lecture, visiting cultural and historic sites and academic seminar. They visited the Museum of the Nanyue King's Tomb, ZhenhaiTower, ChenClanTemple, Shameen, Kaiping Watchtower, and listened to Lingnan Culture seminars. Through these activities, the students were guided to explore the origin of Lingnan Ethnic Groups culture from a multi-disciplinary perspective, which deepen their understanding of Lingnan culture, enhanced their interchange and natured their patriotism as well.
