Again American Morning Light Foundation Sends Sunshine to Students of HNU

On the afternoon of October 30^th, Mr. Xu Huicheng, President of American Morning Light Foundation, along with other members of his delegation, arrived at Hunan Normal University(HNU) with a view of providing financial support to students here and paying a return visit to those students the foundation had supported.

A ceremony was held by HNU in RiverbankStudentActivitiesCenter to extend warm welcome to the delegation, with Ms. He Xujuan, Director of Students Affairs Department, as its hostess. Mr. Zhang Dingguo, Deputy Director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People s Government of Hunan Province (the Office hereafter), and Mr. Liu Qijun, Vice President of HNU, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches respectively.

Mr. Zhang Jiewo and Mr. Nie Jun, Chief and Under-chief of Administration Section of Overseas Chinese under the Office; Mr. Wang Zhiying, Deputy Director of United Front Work Department of HNU; Ms. Chen Yuan, Head of Management Center of Financial Aid to Student under the Students Affairs Department; representatives from Morning Light Foundation; other related personnel of Foreign Affairs (Overseas Chinese) Office ; as well as 50 students supported by the organization were present at the ceremony.

In his speech, Mr. Zhang firstly made a brief introduction to the benevolent aids provided by Morning Light Foundation in our Province, then showed his appreciation to its charity efforts, and expressed his wish that all these students should be grateful to the organization and repay its help with actions.

Mr. Liu Qijun, on behalf of our university, extended the warmest welcome to the delegation, and gave them an introduction to the general condition of HNU and the basic situation of students from poor family. On the one hand, he expressed his gratitude to the foundation for their generous financial aid to students in HNU, on the other hand, he expressed his hope that all these students gaining their help should be grateful, and turn their gratitude into a motive to study with even greater effort, and they should by no means let down those kind-hearted people in this foundation.
Mr. Li Zishang introduced the mission of the foundation, and stated that he was optimistic to the employment prospect of Chinese university graduates. In his comparison, the university was likened to a machine hatching talents, while Morning Light Foundation is likened to a component of love. He hoped that every student could act as a useful spare part of this machine and pass on their love to other people in need.

Later, Mr. Xu Huicheng, on behalf of the foundation, awarded the 100, 000 RMB grants to the students. Then gifts were presented between representatives of aided students and the foundation. Huang Wei, the leader of Morning Light Love League, on behalf of the aided students, made a speech. After the ceremony, directors of the foundation and students talked together in different groups.

In that evening, an entertainment party was held in the RiverbankStudentActivitiesCenter to welcome the delegation.
