Invitational Tournament of Sports Dance for Hunan University Students Starts

On the evening of November 27, the opening ceremony of Invitational Tournament of Sports Dance for Hunan University Students undertaken by HNU was held in the gymnasium of Physical Education College (PEC). Bai Jiehong, Vice president of China Student Aerobics and Rhythmic Gymnastics Association (CSARA) and Supervisor of HNU, was present and declared its opening.

Li Yanling, director of the Organization Committee for the tournament and Director of PEC, and Liu Ruiyi, director of the Organization Committee for the tournament and Secretary General of Hunan Dancers Association (HDA) attended the event and gave speeches at the ceremony. Zhou Jianshe, secretary-general of Hunan Secretariat of CSARA, hosted the ceremony.

In his speech, Li Yanling extended his warm welcome to the guests, referees and athletes. He said that the university would spare no effort to provide good service and offer good conditions for the competition. He pointed that the invitational tournament was a good stage to show talent and to promote cooperation and communication between university students.

Liu Ruiyi said that the tournament was beneficial to promoting the development, raising the standard and enhancing communication of sports dance in universities. He hoped the athletes compete with style and quality.

Wu Xiaofen and Li Weihua (National Referee) make oaths respectively on behalf of athletes and referees.

Bai Jiehong declared the opening of the tournament amid warm applauses and later, athletes from some universities gave a joint performance of sports dance together.
The invitational tournament was co-organized by Hunan Secretariat of CSARA and College Committee of International Standard of HDA, and attracted more than 1000 athletes from colleges, universities and training organizations in Hunan.
