Delegation of Shiga Prefectural University Visited HNU

On the morning of Mar.4^th, Keiichi Oota, vice president of Shiga Prefectural University of Japan led a delegation to HNU. Vice President Jiang Hongxin warmly received our visitors. Tang Jianwen, head of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation presided over the welcomeceremony. Jiang Xinmiao, head of Academic Affairs Officejoined the meeting.

Jiang Hongxin extended a warm welcometo the delegation of Shiga PrefecturalUniversity and briefly introduced the general situation of HNU. He pointed out that HNU paid great attention to the exchange and cooperation with Japan. So far, HNU has signed friendship agreement with seven colleges and universities from Japan and developed many fruitful cooperation programs. Jiang also indicated that both sides benefited a lot form exchange and cooperation since the signing of friendship agreement in 2002. He also wished that both sides would carry out more and better cooperation programs in exchange among teachers and students from the two universities as well as academic exchange so as to jointly cultivate international talents of the new century.

Keiichi Oota made an introduction of relevant situation of ShigaPrefecturalUniversity and expressed his hope of establishing friendly and cooperative relationship with HNU. He wished that both sides could further the academic and cultural exchange and seek common development.
