USTC Signs Memorandum of Understanding with University of Washington

President Hou Jianguo visited the University of Washington in Seattle on May 18 as a member of the delegation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The CAS delegation was headed by Lu Yongxiang, Vice Chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress and President of CAS. During the visit, President Hou, on behalf of USTC, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Washington, signifying the official establishment of the channels of educational cooperation and academic exchange between USTC and UW. President Lu witnessed the MOU signing.

The CAS delegation also visited UW's bio-materials laboratory and molecular engineering-molecular imaging-nanotechnology-medicine application laboratory, and met with their faculty for discussions.
