A delegation headed by Prof. Chen Wen-Tsuen, President of National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, paid a visit to Zhejiang University on Jan. 16th, 2009. President Yang Wei and PresidentChen Wen-Tsuen signed a memorandum of agreement in anticipation of further cooperation between two universities concerning mutual exchange in academic works, periodicals, visiting students and scholars, and academic activities.
President Yang Wei stressed the importance of international experience and broad perspective in undergraduate education, and hoped the memorandun of agreement with NTHU would offer more opportunities and benefit more students in this respect.
Directors of Graduate School, School of Sciences, School of Medicine, School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering and etc. held in-depth discussions with the delegation members on issues such as cosupervising undergraduate projects, awarding ZJU-NTHU joint degree, cooperating in medical research and so on.
