On May 12, Mr. Gerd Wagner, RWE s chief technical officer, Mr. Guo Jin, RWE representative in China and project manager Cao Dazuo visited CUMT. President Ge Shirong, vice president Qin Yong, Academician Zhou Shining, director of International Office Yue Jianhua, vice director Guo Chuwen met the delegation in the meeting Room B403 on Nanhu campus.
On behalf of CUMT, President Ge Shirong expressed his warmly welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced CUMT, especially CUMT s cooperation with German higher learning institutes and organizations. Vice president Qin Yong and Academician Zhou Shining gave some details about China s gas safety and utilization.
With mutual negotiation, two sides agreed on joint-establishing a Coal Mine Gas and Methane Utilization Research Institute at CUMT.
