Projects supported by Y.C.Tang Disciplinary Development Fund (Year 2009) have been recently released. Dr. Y.C.Tang, Chairman of the Y.C.Tang Educational Fund, approved 43 projects, Y.C. Chair Professor project and Early Childhood Educational Fund project submitted by Committee of Y.C.Tang Disciplinary Development Fund, which amounted altogeher to RMB260,000.
Y.C.Tang Disciplinary Development Fund has made financial endowments of more than 1.6 million US dollars since 2001. More than 20 disciplines are involved in the 43 projects approved this year, including Senior Visiting Scholar projects, invitation of world famous scholars, host of international conferences and so on.
With an annual endowment of RMB50,000, Y.C. Chair Professor project was set up to advance the disciplinary development of ZJU by introducing international talents and scholars. A dozen distinguished scholars have been honored up to now. Early Childhood Educational Fund was established by Ms. Yao Wenqin, wife of Y.C. Tang, to promote the development of early childhood education with an annual endowment of RMB10,000.
