Nanjing University Hosts IBRO-APRC Associate Neuroscience School

Supported by the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (APRC) of the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), Nanjing University (NJU) hosted the 2009 IBRO-APRC Associate School of Neuroscience from August 18 to 22.
Participating students included more than 40 Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows and junior faculties in neuroscience from the Asia-Pacific Region.
During their five-day stay at Nanjing University, the students attended intensive lectures and tutorials by seven world-renowned neuroscientists from the USA, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong.
Prof. Pan Yi, Vice President of Nanjing University, and Prof. Ying-Shing Chan, IBRO-APRC Chair and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the school.
