Nanjing University (NJU) hosted the Japanese Speech Contest for College Students in Nanjing on the morning of March 2 in cooperation with the Consulate-General of Japan in Shanghai and the Nanjing People`s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
Fourteen contestants chosen from over 3000 Japanese majors of fourteen universities and colleges lectured on the "Future of Sino-Japanese Relations."
NJU student Zhang Sifan won the Award by the Nanjing People`s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
Mr. Yasuhiro Yamashita, one of the most successful judo competitors in Japan and an Olympic gold medal winner, attended the speech contest and spoke highly of the contestants` performance.
