Lakes free to tourists

Four lake areas along the Yongding River will open to tourists free of charge in May as water has returned to the lake beds, the Beijing Evening News reported Wednesday.
After remaining dry for many years, the Yongding River is flowing once again. The river feeds the Mencheng, Lianshi, Xiaoyue and Wanping lakes, which cover a total of 122,000 square meters.
The river has been supplied with a mixture of reclaimed water, rainwater, and resources from the Guanting Reservoir.
