Praying For the Year of Tiger

During Feb.14^th to 20^th, which is the Jan.1^st to 7^th of the Chinese lunar new year, a praying ceremony is going on in Beihai park.

Praying before lunar new year is Chinese people s tradition in thousands of years. In Qing dynasty, Emperor Qianlong held praying ceremony to embrace new every new year in Beihai YuYuan. Since the year of 2004, such ceremony reappears every year in Beihai park to meet people s need of praying for a happy and prosperous new year.
