Piao Chunzi, a female artist of the Korean nationality is holding a new Chinese realistic painting exhibition entitled at Hall 6 until January 6, 2011. The exhibition entitled Five elements? Five colors showcases a total of more than 30 paintings created in recent years.
Piao Chunzi is currently director and associate professor of the education department of the Art College, Minzu University of China and member of the Chinese Artists Association. She has held seven solo exhibitions in different countries including China, UK and the South Korea. Her works were on display and won prizes in various nation-wide exhibitions. The artist has been devoted to education and creation for the past years, especially applying the colors in the works. Her works reflect the simple and free outlook of the minor ethnic groups and their vitality and vigor.
Piao Chunzi has attempted to reflect colorful ethnic culture and passion from the unique perspective of life and spirit of the ethnic people and explore the innovation of the content and the form of the works. Following the exhibition held in 1993 in the National Art Museum of China, this exhibition also showcases a series of portraits of the fifty-six nationalities by the postgraduates of the traditional Chinese painting of Minzu University of China with her guidance. The portraits reflect good wish of harmonious co-existence and common development of the Chinese nation.
