Sponsored by Federation of Literary and Art Circles of Hunan province and Cultural Department of Hunan province, an exhibition named Artistic Hunan province in the year of 2011 is currently on display at Hall 4, 6 and 8 of the National Art Museum of China since March 23 until April 3. the show is another important artistic activities since the exhibition of Artistic Hunan province in the year of 2008 .
The exhibition comprises two major categories, namely traditional Chinese realistic paintings and oil paintings in Hunan province. The show is expected to reflect the strength and the achievements of the artistic creation in the province.
The exhibition showcases a total of more than 200 masterpieces by 24 artists including Chen Baiyi, Zhu Xunde, Mo Gaoxiang, Chen Hexi, Qu Xiangjian and Yang Zhijian. The exhibits cover a wide range of themes from major historical characters to trivial everyday life and also boast a large variety of forms and artistic languages.
