Shen Peng Workshop presents calligraphic works

Sponsored by China National Academy of Painting, an exhibition is on view to showcase the calligraphic works of Shen Peng workshop. It is the first big event since the founding of the seal cutting college of China National Academy of Painting.

Shen Peng is an influential artist in the calligraphic circle and also president of the seal cutting college of China National Academy of Painting. Founded in Sept, 2007, the Shen Peng workshop attracted a number of outstanding calligraphers of different generations and various schools.

Shen Peng is chief tutor and most of the students are award-winning artists. Mr. Shen puts forward the rules of teaching of developing original, respecting individuality, writing in and out and keeping abreast of art and morals creativly with his rich learning and cultivation and the deep thought of creating handwriting. Improving the students' comprehensive self-cultivation and training the art original ability as the major direction of teaching. This exhibition is one comprehensive review of the handwriting teaching achievement in Shen Peng's workplace.

The exhibits comprise a total of more 220 artworks by 90 artists from the previous training classes. The exhibition reflects the achievement of the courses in the past three years.

The exhibition opens at Hall 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 until December, 5.
