Sponsored by Chinese National Academy of Arts and the National Art Museum of China, an international exhibition of lacquer art is currently on view at the museum to showcase more than 120 artworks by over 50 excellent artists from different countries and regions including Japan, Spain and France. The show is the first large-scale exhibition of lacquer art held in China.
The theme of the daily use as the doctrine reflects close relation between daily life and the universe. The theme is not only the normal conditions but also an important task faced by modern arts and crafts. The exhibition is hoped to carry forward the tradition, reflect close relation between artistic creation and realistic world and encourage the art created for the reality.
The exhibition will open at Hall 2, 3 and 4 until Dec. 15.
