Xiqiao Mountain

Xiqiao Mountain is an extinct volcano which has been sleeping for billions of years. It is located in the southwest of Nanhai Area in Foshan City. As a national scenic area, it enjoys marvelous scenery. There are 72 peaks, 36 caves, lakes, fountains and pools. Because of its thick forests and mosses, it is abundant in water resource and is called "solid reservoir

Xiqiao Mountain has a history of over 6000 years. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, numbers of scholars and students lived there. It is also the seedbed of "Nanquan Culture" and the birthplace of Chinese martial master - Huang Feihong.

On the top of Daxian Peak of the Xiqiao Mountain, there is an attraction named South China Sea Kwan-yin Cultural Center. The Kwan-yin is 61.9 meters high, referring to the date when Kwan-yin is enlightened-July the 19th. People in Xiqiao Mountain still lead a simple and original life. You can enjoy the wedding, customs and folk entertainment activities if you are lucky enough.

1.Guangzhou to Xiqiao Mountain Scenic Area: six tourist buses every day and only 40 minutes to Xiqiao Mountain Scenic Area
2.Foshan Bus Station-Xiqiao Bus Station: buses at an interval of 20 minutes
