As part of the ongoing "Help the Kids" project, Mark Obama Ndesandjo will once again join the American Chamber of Commerce in South China as the main attraction of the "AmCham Mead Johnson 'Help the Kids' Charity Concert" on June 22 at Guangzhou's Xinghai Concert Hall.
On stage, Mr. Ndesandjo will be joined by the world-renowned Chinese pianist Zhao Yinyin and the 100-member Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra led by the internationally acclaimed Conductor Lin Daye. This star-studded ensemble will perform both western Classical and Chinese pieces.
Also appearing at the event will be Hong Kong entertainment veteran Philip Chan and young heartthrob screen actor Dylan Sterling.
AmCham South China President Harley Seyedin told our reporter, "We are planning to collect one million yuan in this charity concert. All proceeds from sponsorship and ticket sales will be donated to the Guangzhou Youth Development Foundation, which organizes life-saving medical procedures for children at the Guangzhou Women and Children Hospital." Vice President of Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center Mr. Gong Sitang said their center cures about 3 thousand heavy illness children from this foundation every year. Mead Johnson now has donated 300 thousand for supporting the charity concert.
